We had photographed Anne and Henning’s wedding at Devil’s Thumb Ranch some years ago, so we were thrilled to be able to do an extended family photo shoot at the family’s cabin in Fraser. It was one of the coldest days we’ve had in Colorado this winter. Most of the photos were taken indoors that day, as the temperature outside was a balmy -10 degrees. Fraser is known as the “icebox of the nation,” so -10 degrees is no big deal to the locals. Thank goodness for hot chocolate and peppermint sticks!
Uncle Rob is a renowned local musician and is often joined on stage by his dad, Harry. Rob played some acoustic music while we were shooting and his niece, Layla joined on the harmonica. Baby brother Ari was more interested in Star Wars than, well, anything else. It’s pretty much how we got him to join in the fun- he was totally willing to snuggle with his sister if, say, Star Wars was on in the background…
