Miss Lily Joy – Kokoro Portrait Photography

We love that our job allows us to meet and remain friends with so many wonderful people.  One of the best things for us is to to watch as their families grow. This fall we seem to have had many new babies join us – which we absolutely LOVE! We love photographing another milestone in their family history, seeing our couples again and best of all cuddling a new baby.

Meet…. Miss Lily Joy. We were so fortunate to have photographed her parents wedding in 2009, so being able to meet the newest member of the family is a blessing. Such a cutie with her parents beautiful red hair. (A small cheer for another redhead in the world!) We look forward to watching Lily grow into an amazing and beautiful young lady.

Sienna – Daughter of the Bride

We love it when our couples contact us to say they are having a baby! Brandy and Danny were married two years ago up in Breckenridge. We had an instant connection with them they are so much fun and so relaxed to hang out with. When Brandy called to say she and Danny were expecting we were over joyed. We are now up to 6 month photos with little Sienna (maternity, newborn and 3 month photos all ready taken) After an hour and a half of shooting this girl was still all smiles and giggles! Can hardly wait to see her again!

Welcome Oliver – Newborn Photos

One of the greatest things about our job is watching our couples become families. Justin and Mindy were married last summer and welcomed little Oliver into the family last month. Justin is completely wrapped around this little guys finger – total Daddy Love. He couldn’t take his eyes off of Oliver or Mindy. They are so comfortable being parents, very relaxed and easy going about the whole process. It was so nice to meet Oliver and see Mindy and Justin again.

Thomas at 10 Days Old

We’ve gotten very far behind on our blog. Seems life, the flu and a host of other out of our normal day to day experiences had gotten the best of us. But all things have just about come full circle and we are now getting back on track. So to show you just one of the wonderful photography opportunities we’ve had lately – I give you Thomas at 10 days old. Thomas is adorable with massive amounts of hair and the most wonderful parents to grow up with. We look forward to watching Thomas grow into a handsome toddler. We can only imagine the joy he will bring his family,

A Morning with Jack – Kokoro Family Photography

We met Lisa and Aaron at Hudson Gardens a few days ago. This was the second time we’d tried to get their son Jack’s photos taken. The first time a wind storm screwed up our outdoor location and Jack decided he really didn’t need a nap that day. Tired babies don’t make for great photos. We rescheduled a second day at Hudson Gardens. This time the weather was great and Jack was well rested. An added bonus – with the cooler weather this summer the gardens are stunning.

Lisa and Aaron had worked with Jack to get him to smile for us but Jack is a very inquisitive boy. There was so much going on around him and Jack didn’t miss anything! He’s one smart little guy…. you could just see his mind at work. It wasn’t until the end of our shoot when we found the magic solution. What made Jack smile was to just lay there in the grass…. doesn’t that make everyone smile?
