Linda and Kent’s Wedding album has arrived

and it’s so beautiful I wanted to share it with you immediately! Linda and Kent were married last fall at the Cherokee Ranch and Castle in Sedalia. It was such a beautiful day October and they are such a wonderful couple. Looking through their album is like reliving that very special day all over again.

AnaLisa and David – Engagement Session in Boulder Colorado

David and AnaLisa went to college at CU Boulder so doing their engagement photos there was a perfect selection for them. We met at Chautauqua Park for shots with the Flatirons in the background, then we headed over to the campus. The buildings there are beautiful and the ground with the pond and the lilacs in full bloom are beautiful this time of year. Bonus – there are very few students to try to shoot around this time of the year, giving us enough privacy to get some very romantic photos.

Alyssa’s Shower at the Brown Palace

Every once in a while we’re invited to the events surrounding a wedding. It give us one more chance to get to know the couple better and to document things leading up to the wedding day. Alyssa is going to have every detail of their engagement/wedding documented. Last month she sent us her wedding invitations so we could include them in her album, we shot Alyssa and Brett’s engagement session in Breckenridge this winter and now we’ve added her wedding shower to their photography list.

Alyssa had a beautiful, delicate pink themed wedding shower at the Brown Palace Hotel – which is also where their wedding reception will be held this June. Her friends and family are so excited for this wedding. You’ll notice in the photos they very graciously included the groom, Brett in the festivities. Not something you’ll see very often – most guys avoid a room full of women!

Jen and Greg’s Colorado Wedding at Daniel’s Park and the Grange

We had so much fun with Jen and Greg at their engagement session that we just knew their wedding was going to be a blast. This couple has a spirit of adventure and honor like no other couple we’ve met. Theirs was a DIY wedding from beginning to end, every detail thoroughly thought out and beautifully crafted by Jen. They wanted a location that showed the beauty of Colorado to family and friends who live out of state and Daniel’s Park was a prime location with it’s stunning view of the front range. Friends set up early in the morning to reserve the park for them (We didn’t know you could reserve Daniel’s Park!) and while the weather was a bit breezy it couldn’t have been more perfect day. The views were spectacular, the wedding party was great fun and their family and friends were so happy for Jen and Greg. Keeping with the “Colorado Spirit” Jen and Greg served a fabulous BBQ dinner to their guest at the reception making it a night everyone will remember for a very long time.

Melissa and Brian’s Engagement Session – The Tivoli Center

Melissa and Brian’s engagement session set a first for us – a cat. Not just any ordinary cat mind you but a large Manx wearing a bumble bee harness! Now we’ve had plenty of sessions with dogs before and Melissa and Brian brought their dog along as well, but this was our first with a cat. It was hysterical. For those of us with cats we are pretty clear that cats do not pose – in fact cats really don’t do anything you really want them to do. But this big guy was fairly cooperative give that he really just want to go exploring.

Melissa and Brian are planning their wedding this summer at Chatfield in their big red barn. Brian brews his own beer which will be served at the reception and is why The Tivoli Center made for a great backdrop for their engagement session. Melissa pointed out to us that Tivoli spelled backwards says i lov it. Awesome! We loved it too.
