Boudoir Photography

Recently, Amanda and I took a three day workshop in Las Vegas on Boudoir Photography with the Boudoir Divas. Marissa and Kimberly run  “Woman Captured” in San Diego CA, one of the top Boudoir studios around. We had a great time meeting other photographers and learning the fine art of classy, elegant Boudoir Photography. They arranged three models for us to work with so we could practice the poses they’ve perfected to make every woman look stunning.

We are looking forward to bringing Boudoir Photography to our studio as well. To be able to offer a woman the opportunity to look beautiful and very sexy in a classy way is exciting. Every one of us deserves to have photos that makes us look like a million and makes our husband or boyfriend grin. Imagine giving your groom an album of your Boudoir Photos on your honeymoon or your husband his own canvas print for your bedroom!

I’m including some of the family friendly photos from our workshop.  If you want to see more photos from the session to get an idea of what we can do for you, or to make an appointment to book your Boudoir Session please give us a call at 303-929-5209.

Comedy Works Photo Shoot

We recently had the opportunity to go photograph in the new Comedy Works in the Tech Center! The new space features several private rooms for rehearsal dinners or smaller receptions, Lucy, a funky restaurant with great red detailing and huge, round chandeliers that extend over two stories, and  The Curtis Ballroom that overlooks the mountains and the city. Our friend Leah from Alice 105.9 was gracious enough to come play with us so we could show you the new space, and Nicole from Cottage Garden Creations provided all the flowers!

And yes, that is a giant whisk. It’s for making giant muffins. Or promoting Leah’s cooking show. Or making giant muffins on Leah’s cooking show.

Las Vegas Baby!

Amanda and I are headed  to Las Vegas until Saturday for a workshop with the fabulous Boudoir Diva’s. We’ll be adding boudoir sessions and albums to our packages upon our return. We’ve been wanting to add boudoir photography for quite some time now and this workshop was just the inspiration we needed to get moving. We are very excited — not only to be getting a mini working vacation — but to hang out with other photographers and learn fun stuff. Check back next week to see photos from our workshop and to book your boudoir session. We’ll be running a special with a limited number of sessions available.

If you need to get a hold of us you can email me at: debi@kokorophotography.com or use the contact page on the blog. I’ll get it on my trusty iphone.

Have a great Valentines Day!

Cherry Hills Community Church- Lindsey and Aaron’s Winter Wedding

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! I don’t have a lot of time today as I’m rushing off to my parents for the big game, but I did want to share with you all Lindsey and Aaron’s wedding! Lindey and Aaron were married just last week at the Cherry Hills Community Church chapel. It’s a beautiful chapel, built specifically for weddings and funerals, and it has some of the most impressive stained glass I’ve ever seen in a modern church. It also had a wonderful, big area for Lindsey and the ladies to get ready. The flower girl and ring bearer both loved vamping for the camera, and they inspired some girls to play along.

The ring bearer was a non-traditional decision to have Lindsey’s young cousin carry the family bible with the rings tied on to a single rose. Unfortunately, the little girl couldn’t untie the rings from the rose during the ceremony, and the knot became taut. Luckily the best man was armed with a pocket knife! My grandfather, the boy scout troupe leader, would be proud!

Ruby red and copper may be my new favorite winter wedding color combination. Lindsey’s bouquet had cirlique copper wires throughout that were just really different and fun.

Carisssa from Carrissa Beauty did a fabulous job with Lindsey’s makeup!

Aaron’s not too bad himself either ;) .

Aaron’s father presided over the ceremony, which was super sweet. When he went to announce them for the first time as husband and wife, he got a little choked up and blanked on his son’s name for a second. Lindsey’s grandfather walked her down the aisle.

The party continued over at The Lone Tree Golf Club.

Lindsey and Aaron both danced with their mothers…

Thank you guys again, and enjoy the big game!
